10/20/2016 ~ Jeremy Edwards has been named Keys Energy Services’ (KEYS) Outstanding Employee of the Fourth Quarter for 2016.

Edwards has worked for the Utility since 2012 and currently serves as an Apprentice Lineman in KEYS’ Transmission & Distribution department. In his current position he is responsible for the construction, maintenance, and repair of KEYS’ electrical overhead distribution system. He stated that the most rewarding aspect of his job is, “the brotherhood that I have with the guys I work with.” He added that his favorite thing about KEYS is that, “it is a great place to work with great employees.”

Edwards was born and raised in Key West where he lives with his wife Monica, with whom he has a daughter (Skylar). In his spare time Edwards enjoys spending time with family and friends, boating, exercising, and “just being outdoors”.

The Employee of the Quarter Committee selects an employee four times a year for this award. Employees are considered for the award after being nominated by their peers. Final selection of the outstanding employee is based on several factors, which include attendance, attitude, efficiency, initiative, and job performance.

The Utility Board will recognize Edwards as the Outstanding Employee of the Fourth Quarter during an upcoming regular meeting. His name will be engraved on a perpetual plaque that will hang in KEYS’ Service Building, he will receive a $250 bonus, and an extra vacation day.
