UTILITY BOARD APPROVES JOINT PROJECT AGREEMENT WITH AQUEDUCT AUTHORITY FOR WASTEWATER COLLECTION SYSTEM

04/28/2005 ~ The Utility Board approved the Joint Project Agreement (JPA) with Florida Keys Aqueduct Authority (FKAA) for the Stock Island Wastewater Collection System Project.

Keys Energy Services (KEYS) and FKAA need to connect to the Key West Resort Utilities wastewater treatment plant on Front Street to support wastewater collection from the KEYS Generating Facilities and from the FKAA Desalination Facility. The utilities plan to work together to construct the collection line, which will originate at the FKAA facility and pass directly in front of KEYS site, since it has been determined that it would be in the best interest and economic advantage of both parties to enter into a JPA for such work.

In other business, the Board:

- Approved the Florida State Contract (#255-001-01-1) purchase of the Microsoft three year Enterprise Product Licensing agreement from Software House International, in the total amount of $60,280.41, to be paid in three annual installments of $20,093.47.

The regular meeting of the Utility Board took place at 5:00 p.m., April 27th, in the Louis Carbonell Board Room of the William Arnold Service Building, 1001 James Street, Key West.
