01/16/2007 ~ Idalia G. Yorba, Customer Services Representative, has been named Keys Energy Services’ (KEYS) Outstanding Employee of the First Quarter for 2007.

Yorba has worked for the utility for a little over two years and helps to process credit card and check electronic payments, new customers with electric service accounts, billing inquiries, and address changes. Prior to her current position, Yorba was a Cashier within KEYS Customer Services department.

Yorba said she finds the constant learning environment of her position very rewarding and enjoys the friendships she has forged with her co-workers.

The Employee of the Quarter Committee selects an employee four times a year for this award. Employees are considered for the award after being nominated by their peers and/or supervisors. Final selection of the outstanding employee is based on several factors, which include attendance, attitude, efficiency, initiative, and job performance, among others.

Yorba was born in Mexicali, Mexico, and moved to the Florida Keys in 2003. She lives in Key West with her husband Robert and their son Robert Elijah (6). In her spare time, Yorba enjoys spending time with her family and enjoying, “the special moments life brings”.

The Utility Board will recognize Yorba as the Outstanding Employee of the First Quarter for 2007 and present her with a $250 bonus during their regular meeting on January 24th. Her name will be engraved on a perpetual plaque that hangs in the William Arnold Service Building lobby, and she will receive an extra day off.
