10/14/2010 ~ Charles Walterson has been named Keys Energy Services’ (KEYS) Outstanding Employee of the Fourth Quarter for 2010.

Walterson has worked for the Utility for nearly 22-years and currently works as an Engineering Field Representative in KEYS’ Engineering department. He is responsible for coordinating projects with customers, contractors, and governmental agencies.

When asked what he likes most about his job, Walterson said he finds, “working with the general public, contractors, and fellow employees to resolve problems the most rewarding.”

The Employee of the Quarter Committee considers employees for the award after being nominated by their peers and/or supervisors. Final selection of the outstanding employee is based on several factors, which include attendance, attitude, efficiency, initiative, and job performance, among others.

Walterson was born and raised in Key West and is a graduate of Key West High School. He lives in Key West with his partner Christine Carr, and has two children: Christopher and Christina.

The Utility Board will recognize Walterson as the Outstanding Employee of the Fourth Quarter for 2010 at an upcoming meeting. His name will be engraved on a perpetual plaque that hangs in the William Arnold Service Building lobby, he will receive a $250 bonus, and an extra day off.
