07/12/2012 ~ Brittani Harden has been named Keys Energy Services’ (KEYS) Outstanding Employee of the Third Quarter for 2012.

Harden has worked for the Utility for over four years and currently serves as a Buyer/Inventory Analyst in its Purchasing section. In her current position, she is responsible for maintaining contracts, creating purchase orders, corresponding and meeting with vendors, and verifying insurance coverage.

Harden said what she finds most rewarding about her job is the people she works with, adding that, “everyone at KEYS makes coming to work every day easy and enjoyable.” She went on to say that her favorite things about KEYS are its activity in the community and the job stability its employees are afforded.

Harden was born and raised in Key West and is a sixth generation Conch. She is a graduate of Key West High School and the University of Florida and is currently enrolled in Saint Leo University. She lives in Key West and in her spare time enjoys volunteering as a local cheerleading coach and active member of Zonta. When not volunteering, Harden enjoys spending time with her family and friends and enjoying everything Key West has to offer.

The Employee of the Quarter Committee selects an employee four times a year for this award. Employees are considered for the award after being nominated by their peers and/or supervisors. Final selection of the outstanding employee is based on several factors, which include attendance, attitude, efficiency, initiative, and job performance, among others.

The Utility Board will recognize Harden as the Outstanding Employee of the Third Quarter for 2012 during their regular meeting on Wednesday, July 18th. Her name will be engraved on a perpetual plaque that hangs in the William Arnold Service Building lobby, she will receive a $250 bonus, and an extra day off.
