10/29/2012 ~ Keys Energy Services (KEYS) is sending seven linemen to Delaware to assist with post-Hurricane Sandy power restoration. The linemen, along with three bucket trucks, one digger truck, and a utility pole trailer, will depart for Delaware at daybreak on Tuesday, October 30th. KEYS' Hurricane Restoration Crew will receive instructions from the Delaware Municipal Electric Corporation, Inc. while en route as to where to report to begin assisting with power restoration.

The high winds and torrential rains of Hurricane Sandy are expected to combine with a winter weather system over the east coast with the combination expected to bring down trees and power lines resulting in widespread, prolonged power outages. KEYS' seven-man crew is anticipating an initial two-week run as they assist with power restoration.

"When utilities have trouble, we call each other for mutual aid assistance," said Lynne Tejeda, KEYS' General Manager and CEO. She added that, "our crews will lend their unique hurricane experience to our fellow public power utilities in Delaware to help restore power as quickly as possible in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy."
