11/22/2013 ~ Keys Energy Services’ (KEYS) recently donated 600 backpacks to the Silverliners to be used for their annual “Flight to the North Pole” event.

The event will take place on Thursday, December 5th, and will provide 600 pre-kindergarten students with a chance to experience some early holiday cheer. Originally started by retired Eastern airline flight attendants, the event provides local youth with the chance to take over Key West International Airport, partake in festive holiday games and sing-along’s, and visit with Santa Claus. Each child will also receive a new toy at the event.

“KEYS has been a longtime supporter of the Silverliners,” said Lynne Tejeda, KEYS’ General Manager & CEO. She added that, “our backpacks will come in very handy to help the children carry their new toy home, and will serve as yet another happy reminder of a truly magical day.”
