KEYS DONATES $750 TO FLORIDA KEYS OCEAN FESTIVAL

03/20/2015 ~ Keys Energy Services (KEYS) recently donated $750 to help underwrite expenses for the 6th annual Florida Keys Ocean Festival & Waterfront Craft Show. KEYS is an inaugural sponsor of this event and also will be offering bucket truck rides to attendees on Saturday, April 4th.

Presented by Florida-based Mote Marine Laboratory, the family-friendly free-admission Ocean Festival will take place from 11:00 – 6:00P at the Florida Keys Eco-Discovery Center, located on Key West’s Truman Waterfront at the end of Southard Street. In addition to KEYS’ bucket truck rides, which will be offered from 11:00 – 4:00P, other scheduled attractions include live music, arts and crafts, kids’ activities including a fish clinic, educational displays, food and beverages, a silent auction, and more.

“KEYS is proud to once again help promote the unique marine environment of the Florida Keys – including the continental United States’ only living coral barrier reef,” said Lynne Tejeda, KEYS’ General Manager & CEO. She also went on to add that, “for those taking advantage of our bucket truck rides, they will be rewarded with a bird’s eye view of the festival, surrounding Truman Waterfront, and solar demonstration unit KEYS installed on the roof of the Eco-Discovery Center in partnership with the Florida Municipal Power Agency and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary.”

Proceeds from the festival will support Mote Marine Laboratory’s coral reef restoration and research programs. For more information on the festival, visit www.KeysOceanFest.org.
