KEYS KEVIN CROCKETT TO RETIRE AFTER 28-YEARS OF SERVICE

05/13/2016 ~ On May 20, 2016, Keys Energy Servicesí (KEYS) Kevin Crockett, will retire after 28-years of continuous service to the Utility.

Crockett was originally hired in 1988 when the Utility was named City Electric System. During his tenure he held the position of General Helper prior to completing his career as a Substation Electrician, specializing in traffic light signals, within the Transmission & Distribution department.

When asked about his most memorable experience at KEYS Crockett cited repairing the numerous traffic signals that were damaged in the aftermath of Hurricane Georges. Among the biggest changes he has witnessed has been the advancements in traffic signal technology. In reminiscing about his time at KEYS Crockett said he will miss the everyday camaraderie with his co-workers, many of whom have grown into great friends.

In retirement Crockett plans to travel, work on various personal projects, and spend time with his family. After a 28-year career at KEYS, he has earned the right to chart his own course in the years ahead.
