Key West City Hall Solar Project

Keys Energy Services (KEYS) contributed approximately $240,000 of its British Petroleum settlement funding to the City of Key West to help fund the installation of solar arrays at City Hall on White Street. The project included installing 216 327-watt* panels spanning 1,900 square feet of surface area on structures adjacent to City Hall. The power generated by the solar panels will be used to power City Hall.

*Watt – the standard unit of power in the International System of Units (SI), equivalent to one joule per second and equal to the power in a circuit in which a current of one ampere flows across a potential difference of one volt.
