- Agree to receive an entire truckload of mulch (approximately 10 – 13 cubic yards). Keys Energy Services’ mulch truck is not capable of partial deliveries.
- Identify a location on their private property (i.e.: mulch can not be dropped on the roadside, on sidewalks, or in easements) where the mulch is to be deposited.
- Understand that mulch loads may consist of any type of wood, leaves or other debris and agree to assume all responsibility for such material after it is delivered to the property, including the proper disposal of said material, and to hold KEYS and their independent contractors harmless for any damage which may arise from said material after they are delivered. Understand that the request for mulch does not guarantee delivery and that service is provided free of charge.
- Include a detailed description of where the mulch is to be dropped on the property.
Keys Energy Services will drop off mulch based on the location of the customer request in conjunction with the location of the truck when it becomes laden with mulch. For example, if the mulch truck is in Big Pine and becomes full, KEYS will deliver the mulch to the nearest customer who has submitted a request.

KEYS Cares is an innovative partnership created by Keys Energy Services (KEYS) and the United Way of Collier and the Keys, which provides KEYS’ customers with the opportunity to contribute to the vital human services organizations that serve our community.
Through your voluntary monthly KEYS Cares contribution of $2, $5, $10, or $25, which will be added to your monthly energy bill, you can do something that directly benefits your friends, neighbors, and colleagues.
KEYS Cares’ funds will be used to provide access to nutritious food, education and financial stability for Monroe County residents. The United Way of Collier and the Keys will allocate your voluntary KEYS Cares contributions as part of the financial support to more than 20 local non-profit partner organizations whose programs benefit many Lower Keys residents and KEYS’ customers.
United Way of Collier and the Keys supports nearly half of Keys residents through direct programs or by working with local nonprofit partners. On any given day, United Way of Collier and the Keys supports school dental clinics, nutritious meals for seniors, after school programs, food pantries for hungry families, and more. This is in addition to providing free tax preparation, monthly books mailed free to local children, school supplies for all students and publishing the most comprehensive resource guide in Monroe County to help struggling residents.
If you would like to sign up for KEYS Cares, change the amount of your existing contribution, or discontinue your contribution, please complete the following form.

Keys Energy Services’ Medically Essential Service Program identifies residential customers who are dependent upon continuously electric-powered medical equipment to sustain life or prevent serious medical complications.
The primary benefit of the program is advanced notification of interruption of service due to pre-planned outages and non-payment of an electric bill. The registered customer’s account is also flagged to alert utility employees who may be working on the customer’s meter or service line.
Please be advised, participation in this program does not guarantee uninterrupted electric service, and it does not exempt customers from payment of their electric bills. The program also does not automatically extend electric bill due dates, nor does it provide priority restoration.
To qualify, in accordance with Florida Statue Title XXVII Chapter 366.15, the patient must:
- Reside at the customer of record’s address
- Qualify and register annually and complete certification forms supplied by KEYS and signed by a Florida licensed physician.
- Be dependent on continuously electric-powered medical equipment to sustain life or prevent serious medical complications. Examples of qualifying equipment include oxygen concentrator, heart monitor, feeding pump or Dialysis Machine.
In the event of loss of power, it is the customer’s responsibility to have a power back-up system for their medical equipment, as well as an action plan for proceeding to the nearest medical facility.
To qualify for participation in KEYS’ Medically Essential Service Program, please complete and sign the Medically Essential Service Certification Form Part A, and have your physician complete and sign the certification form Part B.
